APTET 2024 Normalization Formula – APTET Marks Normalization Procedure

This Year APTET 2024 has decided to do Normalization for candidates to equalize the marks of all Candidates according to their difficulty level. As we all know that in APTET All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying One Mark, with four alternatives out of which One Answer will be correct. There will be no Negative Marking. So the marks secured by the candidate will become Raw Marks for Normalization Procedure.

What is Normalized Marks Calculator for APTET Exams?
Normalization process followed by APTET is a scientific and statistical process. It depends on the statistical parameters calculated based on the performance of candidates in the particular session as well as of other sessions of APTET 2024. Normalization of marks is done when the exam is conducted in multiple sessions for the same syllabus and has chances of variation in the difficulty level of questions. As a result, the score obtained by the candidates may vary. To equalize the variation in the difficulty level of question papers the scores are normalized. Shortlisting of candidates for various stages of the exam is done based on the normalized marks. Hence apteachers.in website is going to explain the Normalization Process for You Here.

How is APTET Normalised Score Calculated?
One should note that normalization is not the process of adding grace marks. Normalisation is calculated based on the performance of candidates in a particular session as well as other sessions. The process involves the calculation of the raw score of the candidate. The mean and standard deviation of raw marks of candidates in a particular session and other sessions are normalised.

APTET Normalized Marks Calculator for APTET: Points to be Noted

    • There are some basic terms which should be known by you to calculate the normalized marks in APTET Exam which are discussed below Normalization procedure is a Scientific and Statistical Process. The process is not for awarding the grace marks.
    • The process is completely based on the statistical parameters calculated on the basis of performance of the candidate in the APTET Exam in all sessions.
    • The normalization procedure will be totally based on the raw score of candidates. Raw Score is known as the initial stage of the calculation of marks. These are the scores which are obtained by the aspirants by answering correctly in each section of the Exam.
    • The statistical parameters of a session e.g. mean marks and standard deviation of marks scored by the aspirants in the session of APTET Exam are analysed and totally based on the calculated values of all these parameters a session is taken as the base session.
    • The base session is taken to equalize the level of difficulty of each session.

    APTET Normalization Score Calculator Explained
Mij = Normalized marks of jth candidate in the ith shift.
Mtg = is the average marks of the top 0.1% of the candidates considering all shifts (number of candidates will be rounded up).

How to Calculate TET Weightage Marks for AP/TS DSC 2024:

Even thouhg TET is an eligibility test for Teacher Job Aspirants for Teachers Resuitment Exam which is called as now AP DSC candiates will get weightage of percentage of  marks obtained.
    Lest Calculate Here

Assume that you have got 110 Marks in TET then your Weightage of TET Marks will be as follow

    Tet Score/150 *20 = weightage to DSC

    Eg: 110/150 X 20= 14.6

Hence your TET Weightage will be 14.6 Now come to the Point
If you get 66 Marks in DSC SGT Exam of 160 Questions 80 Marks then your Total Marks of DSC will be 66+14.6=80.6

AP TET obtained Marks : 115AP TET Total Marks: 150Calculation for 20%= (115/150) x 20 = 15.33Hence Your APTET Weightage in this DSC is 15.33 MarksLet us assume that you have obtained 130 Marks out of 200 Marks School Asst Exam.AP DSC 2018 Obtained Marks 130Total AP DSC Marks: 200Weightage of 20% = (130/200) x 20 = 13

Now Your Weightage in APTET is MORE than 20% of present AP DSC.
Hence Your Total Marks will be
     (Your Obtained DSC Marks + (20% of APTET – 20% APDSC ) = 130+2.33=142. Total Score is 132.33.
