Applications are invited for admission to Class IX of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas of the District, against the vacant seats, which are likely to be available during the academic year 2020-2021. The admission is through an All India Test to be conducted on Sunday, 08-02-2020 at 10.00 hrs. in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya of the district concerned. The medium of test is English/Hindi.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates from the concerned district where the respective JNV is situated can apply. The student should be born before May 1, 2007 and after April 30, 2011 (both dates inclusive).
1.Only those candidates who have studied in class VIII during the Academic Session 2019-2020 in one of the Govt./Govt. recognized schools of the district where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is functioning and where admission is sought.
2.Candidate appearing for the selection test must pass Class VIII in the academic session 2019-2020 from a Govt./Govt. recognized school in the district where he/she is seeking admission.
3.Candidates seeking admission must not have been born before 01.05.2004 and after 30.04.2008. This will apply to candidates of all categories including those belonging to SC/ST.
4.Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti reserves the right to refer any candidate to a MEDICAL BOARD for confirmation of the age of the candidate in case a doubt arises about the age certificate produced by the candidate before the admission is given.
Nature of the Entrance Test:
Navodaya 9th Class Entrance Exam Pattern: The selection test will be of two-hour duration and will have three sections. There will be 80 multiple-choice questions, together constituting of 100 marks.
1.English Subject: 15 Marks
2.Hindi Subject: 15 Marks
3.Maths Subject: 35 Marks
4.Science Subject: 35 Marks
TOTAL: 100 Marks
The test will be objective/descriptive type with 03 hours duration without any break. Centre for the examination will be Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya of the concerned district.

c.For candidates seeking admission under rural quota, certificate prooving child had studied in an institution/school located in a rural area

How to Apply:
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya commences admission process for class 9: The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) has invited applications for admissions to class 9. The online application process has started, and the candidates can apply online till December 10, 2019. Interested applicants can apply at the official website, nvsadmissionclassnine.in. To be eligible for the admission, candidates will have to appear for Jawahar Navodya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST). The selection test will be conducted on February 8, 2020. The candidates can apply through the official websites- navodaya.gov.in, nvsadmissionclassnine.in on or before December 10, 2019.
How to apply for JNV Admissions:

  2. Click on the scrolling link ‘click here for registration – phase I’
  3. Fill form, upload images
  4. Make payment
  5. Submit, take a print out of the form.
  6. Online applications may be submitted from 25-10-2020 (00:00 Hrs.). The candidate may refer to NVS Hqrs. Website www.nvshq.org or website of JNVs. Last date to apply for Class-IX Lateral Entry test is 10-12-2020 (up to 24:00 Hrs.)

Navodaya Admit Cards:
Admit Card for appearing at the Selection Test will be issued to the candidates. If the candidate does not get the Admission Card, he/she must contact the office of the Principal of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya for obtaining the same.

Result of the Selection Test will be notified in the Vidyalaya Notice Board as well as published in the website of JNVs concerned. Selected candidates will also be intimated by post.

RESULT OF SELECTION TEST
Result of  the  Selection  Test  may  be  ascertained  from  the  application portal  of  NVS  through  which  application  is  submitted.    Result  will  be notified in the Vidyalaya Notice Board as well as published in the website of JNVs concerned. Selected candidates will also be intimated by Speed post and SMS.
