Horticulture Officer-39 Posts

Eligibility Criteria
i. He / She is of sound health, active habits and free from any bodily defect or infirmity rendering him unfit for such service:,
ii. His / Her character and antecedents are such as to qualify him for such service:,
iii. He /She possesses the academic and other qualifications prescribed for the post: and
iv. He/ She is a citizen of India:  Provided that no candidate other than a citizen of India may be appointed except with the previous sanction of the State Government and except in accordance
with such conditions and restrictions as they may be laid down. Such sanction shall be  not be accorded unless the State Government are satisfied that sufficient number of citizens of India, who are qualified and suitable are not available.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess a degree in Horticulture of a recognized University in the State or any other University or institution recognized by the University Grants Commission, provided that M.Sc. (Agriculture) with specialization in Horticulture would be considered for appointment if candidates having a degree in Horticulture are not available.
(Provided that in case of SC /ST vacancies if the candidates with B.Sc. degree qualifications in Horticulture are not available the candidates with B.Sc. degree qualifications in Agriculture shall become eligible).

Selection Process:
Selection will be made on the basis of screening test (if needed), Main Examination and Mock Test.
