MHRD seeks parents’ opinion on when to reopen schools – August, September or October. In a letter to education secretaries of all states, HRD ministry has also sought parents’ feedback on the measures they expect in schools when they reopen. With educational institutions indefinitely shut due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) is now seeking parents’ opinions on when to reopen schools this year. In a letter to education secretaries of all states , the ministry directed them to get the feedback of parents on when they would want the schools to reopen and what changes they expect to be introduced in schools. The letter, a copy of which has been accessed by The Print, asked secretaries to ascertain if parents will be comfortable with reopening schools in August, September or October. “What is the likely period when they will be comfortable with reopening of schools -August/September/October, 2020 and what are the parents expectations from schools as and when they re-open,” read the letter. The ministry asked the states to file their responses by 20 July.

I am directed to refer to the subject matter with a request to furnish feedback of parents of school going children on the following points by 20.07.2020 (Monday) positively:
- i. What is the likely period when they will he comfortable with reopening of schools —August / September / October. 2020
- ii. What are the parents expectations from Schools — as and when they reopen.
- iii. Any other feedback/ remarks in this regard.

The school should not be reopen in any of the following months some parents r saying to reopen in August because they r seeing that their children studies r getting effect ,they can’t study properly but they r not seeing that if a child has corona virus so it would effect the whole school and children studying because how much we tried to tell our children don’t do this , don’t do that at that time they will say ok we will not do but does they remember the words we said of not doing this or not doing that they will not remember they will just enjoy themselves . They will not see that we have to take percautions they will just enjoy themselves so my advice is not to open schools in any of the following months my advice is also to promote them

School should reopen in August 1 so that students get the required education
School should not reopen till single corona case remain in India. We can’t risk only the safety of our child but also family n friends with life . If a single student found out corona positive, whole classmate n teacher with family will b at risk. I can happily leave one year behalf of my child’s healthy remaining future year.

My feedback is that the covid 19 has increases day by day so the children have to remain at their home as online classes are available. And school must be open from October only if the cases would be decreased.

Comment… लवकरात लवकर स्कूल कॉलेज चालू कराव्यात कारण विद्यार्थ्याचे खूप नुकसान होत आहे प्रत्येक विद्यार्थ्याकडे ऑनलाईन शिक्षण घ्यायला मोबाईल नसतोच कोणी नाही घेऊ शकत त्यांना एक वेळच जेवण मिळायला दिवसभर मेहनत करून जेवायला मिळते त्यांनी एवढा महाग मोबाईल कसा घायचा आणि मग गरीब मुलेमुली शिक्षणापासून वंचित रहयला नको .जेवढं अभ्यास स्कूल कॉलेज मध्ये होतो तेवढं मुलांचा अभ्यास ऑनलाईन होत नाही .जर स्कूल कॉलेज चालू केले तर कोरोना आणखी वाढेल याची भीती सर्वांना वाटत आहे तर लहान मुले नाही करू शकत स्वतच्या सांभाळ म्हणजे सोशल distancing पण मोठे मुल तर करू शकतात ना त्यांना तर समज असतो आपली काळजी ते स्वतः घेऊ शकतात तर माझा मताने कॉलगे स्कूल 15 ऑगस्ट नंतर लवकर चालू कराव्यात ही माझी नम्र विनंती
