Postponement of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG May-2020.
In view of the hardships faced by the parents and the students due to COVID-19 epidemic, the National Testing Agency has postponed the ensuing NEET (UG) May 2020 examination scheduled to be held on the 3rd May 2020.
We are hopeful that we would get back to normal situation relatively Soon; but for now, various concerned Ministries and Examination Boards are examining the scenario to evaluate the situation that may necessitate any change in the schedule. As of now the examination is proposed to be held in the last week on May 2020. Exact date will be announced later on after assessing the situation.
Latest: Correction in the particulars in the Online Application Forms shall be accepted upto 05.00 PM and submission of fee upto 11.50 PM of 03/05/2020.
In continuation of PUBLIC NOTICES dated 01.04.2020 and 10.04.2020 issued by the National Testing Agency regarding correction facility in Candidate Particulars and Choice of Cities for centre opted by the candidates for NEET (UG)- 2020, the NTA has extended the date of making corrections in the Application Form including choice of cities for centre in the Online Application Form upto 03/05/2020*, in view of many requests being received from aspirants and parents of candidates of NEET (UG)- 2020 in this regard. The correction facility is operational on the website ntaneet.nic.in

Eligibility to appear in NEET (UG) – 2020
Eligibility for appearing in NEET (UG) is as stipulated in Indian Medical Council Act-1956 and the Dentists Act-1948 as amended in 2018.
Eligibility as per related Regulations is as follows:-
i. He/she has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.
ii. The upper age limit for NEET (UG) is 25 years as on the date of examination
with relaxation of 5 years for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category and persons entitled for reservation under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
The Age criteria for appearing in NEET (UG) – 2020 is as follows:
For Candidates of General (UR)/General-EWS : born on or before 31.12.2003
For Candidates of SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD Category :born on or before 31.12.2003
iii. Indian Citizens/ Overseas Citizens of India intending to pursue MBBS/ BDS from a foreign Medical/ Dental Institute also need to qualify NEET (UG).

How to Apply for NEET UG 2020:
Candidates are reminded that only online application forms for NEET 2020 would be accepted. To apply, students are required to log in to the official website of NEET 2020 which is NTAneet.nic.in and click on Apply Online link – which is now active. Follow the instructions and upload the image along with your signature to complete the form. All students are also reminded that the allocation of examination city would be strictly on first come first serve basis. Hence, it is always advisable to apply at the earliest. The online portal for NEET 2020 would be available until March 9, 2020.
Step 1 – Candidates can apply ONLY ONLINE.
Step 2 – Online submission of application may be made by accessing the Board’s website https://www.nta.ac.in/medicalexam or www.NTAneet.nic.in Instructions for submitting online application and payment of fee are available on website.
Step 3 – Candidates may remit the fee in the following manner:
a. Through any Debit/Credit Card
b. Net Banking/UPIor
c. e-wallets of different service provider
National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test NEET (UG) – 2020 will be conducted on May, 2020 (Sunday) from 02:00 p.m. to 05:00 p.m. The duration of test will be three (03) hours.

NEET UG 2020 exam pattern:
There will be one paper containing 180 objective type questions (four options with a single correct answer) from physics, chemistry and biology (botany and zoology). The duration of paper would be three hours from 10 am to 1 pm. Question papers can be obtained in the following languages – Hindi, English, Gujarati, Marathi, Oriya, Bengali, Assamese, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada.
NEET UG Admit Card:
The NTA will provide the facility of downloading Admit Cards of NEET (UG) on the Board’s website alongwith a format for affixing of Postcard size photograph. Candidates are required to download the admit cards from the website and follow the instructions given therein. Candidate may please note that admit cards will not be sent by the post. When candidate will download the Admit Card, a copy of the same in pdf fomat will also be emailed to the candidate on the registered email id.
The Admit Card will bear the candidate’s Roll Number, Name, Father’s Name, Category, Sub-Category, Photograph, Signature, Date of Birth, Language of Question Paper with Name and Address of examination entre allotted. The candidate should carefully examine the Admit Card downloaded by him/her for all the entries made therein.
