TSSA, Hyderabad – Planning & Monitoring – Government schools without electricity facility – Providing electricity facility to 2415 Government schools in the state – Orders issued – Reg.

All the Project Officers of TSSA in the state are informed that there are 2415 Government and Local-body schools in the state without electricity facility as per UDISE 2015-16. The district-wise list of such schools is enclosed. They are aware that electricity is a minimum requirement under infrastructure facilities to all schools for the benefit of the students to view the digital lessons,operate the computers etc. Teachers are also frequently oriented in various pedagogy activities through MANA TV channel.

In view of the above, it is decided to provide electricity facility to 2415 Government schools in the state immediately. Therefore the Project Officers are permitted to provide electricity facility (connection and wiring) to these schools before reopening of the schools for the next academic year i.e., 2016-17 duly meeting the expenditure from the available funds under SSA for 2015-16.
