విద్యాసామర్థ్యాల పరిశీలనకు ‘స్లాస్‌’*
♦ఈ నెల 30న 8, 9 తరగతుల విద్యార్థులకు నిర్వహణ
♦జాతీయస్థాయిలో కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం నిర్వహించిన జాతీయ సాధన సర్వే(న్యాస్‌) తరహాలో పాఠశాల విద్యాశాఖ రాష్ట్ర స్థాయి సాధన సర్వే(స్లాస్‌) నిర్వహించాలని రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం నిర్ణయించింది. ప్రభుత్వ బడుల్లోని విద్యార్థుల్లో విద్యా అభ్యాసన సామర్థ్యాలను పరీక్షించడమే ఈ సర్వే లక్ష్యం.

♦అందుకు  ఈనెల……..న 8, 9వ తరగతి విద్యార్థులకు  పరీక్ష నిర్వహిస్తారు.
ఆబ్జెక్టివ్‌ తరహాలో ప్రశ్నలు ఇస్తారు. అందుకు మొదటిసారిగా ఓఎంఆర్‌ పత్రాన్ని ఇస్తున్నారు
. అంటే అందులో జవాబును గుర్తిస్తూ గడులను దిద్దాల్సి ఉంటుంది. విద్యార్థులకు ఓఎంఆర్‌ పత్రాలతో పరీక్ష రాయటం అలవాటు చేయడంతోపాటు.. సాఫ్ట్‌వేర్‌ ద్వారా కొద్ది రోజుల్లోనే ఫలితాలు వెల్లడించవచ్చని అధికారుల ఉద్దేశం.

♦ సబ్జెక్టులు: 
*తెలుగు, *ఆంగ్లం, గణితం, సాంఘిక, భౌతిక, జీవ శాస్త్రాలు
🔷మొత్తం మార్కులు: 100
🔷 పరీక్ష సమయం: 2 గంటలు

 🔷 సబ్జెక్టుల వారీగా మార్కులు: 
 తెలుగు, ఆంగ్లం, భౌతిక, జీవశాస్త్రాలు( 15 మార్కుల చొప్పున),
 గణితం, సాంఘికశాస్త్రం( 20 మార్కుల చొప్పన)

All the DEOs & EO-DP0s, SS in the State are informed that it has been decided to conduct State Level Assessment Survey (SLAS) for the students of Classes VIII & IX of all the Government, Local body. Aided, KGBVs, TS Model Schools and TS Residential Schools in the State for assessment and to improve academic standards. They are further informed that:

1. The proposed date for conduct of SLAS exam for all the students of VIII & IX classes of Govt, Local body, Aided, KGBV, ISMS and TS Residential Schools is 30/01/2020. 
2. The exam is OMR based with Two Hours duration and the timings will be common for both VIII & IX Classes. 
3.  The Question Papers will be in the form of booklet basing on medium & first language. 

In this context, the following instructions arc issued for strict compliance.
 i) To conduct planning meeting with Asst., Commissioner for Govt. Exams, Secretary, DCEB, Sectoral Officers and MEOs for smooth conduct of Exam and necessary communication on conduct of Test has to be sent to all Schools.
ii) The confidential material and OMRs will be supplied by the Director of Government Examinations as per schedule to be communicated later on.
a) To identify the storage points (Police Stations/Strong Rooms with Police bundobast) at District and Mandel Level by appointing local headquarters Senior Headmaster as Joint Custodian to deposit and operate the Confidential Material.

b) The Confidential Material will be supplied to District Point and the same is to be deposited at identified storage point.

The plan of action has to be prepared for sending the Confidential Material to Mandel Level with safe custody.

iii) The concerned Headmasters should conduct the Exam as per guidelines and schedule. iv) Post examination material has to be submitted to the DGE in sealed covers by all the DEOs.

v) To appraise all the activities to the District Collector well in advance and issue of instructions to the Mandel Level Officials through the District Collector to observe the conduct of Exam in the Schools of the Mandal.

Therefore, all the DEOs & EO-DPOs, SS in the State are requested to take necessary action accordingly.
