Telangana: SSC Exams to have six papers for this academic year

The SSC Public Examinations 2023 will have only six papers for this academic year too. A decision to reduce the number of papers from 11 to six in the SSC Public Exams during the academic year 2022-23 has been taken by the State government

The government has reduced the number of papers in the SSC Public Exams 2023 to six and 100 per cent syllabus will be covered for the exams,” a senior official confirmed.

Examinations Reforms for 9th & 10th Classes from the academic year 2022-2023 

SSC Exams will be 6 papers.

• Science two papers on same day with 20min gap.
• The duration of examination shall be 3.00 hours for all subjects, which also includes reading time for question paper, except Science.
• In case of Science paper, the duration shall be 3 hours 20 minutes, i.e. 1 hour 30 minutes for Physical Science and 1 hour 30 minutes for Biological Science, the additional 20 minutes given is for the collection of Physical Science answer scripts and to issue Biological Science Question Paper after completion of Physical Sciences.

In the circumstances reported by the Director of School Education, Telangana, Hyderabad vide reference 10`” cited and Government, after careful examination of the matter, hereby accord permission to the Director of School Education, Telangana, Hyderabad to revise the existing Question paper pattern for classes Class-IX & Class X for non language subjects i.e. Mathematics, General Science and Social Studies for two Academic Years i.e., 2022-23 and 2023-24 as follows:

• Essay Type – 4 Questions @ 6 marks each (6 questions to be given, out of which 4 questions are to be answered (4*6=24).
•  Short Answer Type – 6 Questions @ 4 marks each (6*4=24).
•  Very Short Answer Type – 6 Questions © 2 marks each(6*2=12).
• Multiple Choice Questions – 20 Questions @ 1 mark each(20×1=20).
