Vidyanjali School Volunteer Programme by MHRD in Telangana Schools, MHRD is proposed to launch Vidyanjali School Volunteer Programme to enhance community and private sector involvement in Government run elementary schools across the country under the overall aegis of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.

All the Regional Joint Directors of School Education, the Principal, IASE, Masab Tank, Hyderabad, District Educational Officers, Project Officers of SSA and the Principals of DIETS / CTEs in the state are informed that MHRD is proposed to launch Vidyanjali School Volunteer Programme to enhance community and private sector involvement in Government run elementary schools across the country under the overall aegis of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.


Important aspects of Vidyanjali School Volunteer Programme:
The important aspect of this programme is to use the services of various types of persons like retired teachers, Retd. government officials including retired defence persons, home makers, students etc. in government schools to help the children in studies. MHRD send draft guidelines and requesting for comments on the guidelines. MHRD further said that 19 states are committed to implement this programme in the conference of State Ministers of Education held on 8th February, 2016 and Telangana is one of the states agreed to implement the programme.

These volunteers will work under the surveillance of HM of particular school and MEO of the mandal. MHRD has set eligibility conditions and qualifications for the selection of volunteers. HM of the particular school where volunteer wants to work and MEO of the mandal will select the volunteers following the conditions set by MHRD and after proper filling of the form by the volunteer. This programme will not cover any costs of the volunteer including travel.

Therefore all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education, District Educational Officers, the Project Officers of SSA aced the Principals of IASE / CTEs / DIETs are requested to go through the guidelines of Vidyanjali School Volunteer Programme and send your valuable comments and suggestions by 10th May, 2016 to SPO, SSA, Telangana state, email Id: ssaspots@gmail.com; pedagoev.tsagmail.com.
