Eligibility Criteria
As per the NCTE, New Delhi, the candidates who fulfill the following 3 conditions are eligible for B.Ed (ODL) programme :
1) Trained In-Service Teachers working in Government recognized schools in Telangana State.
2) Candidates who have completed a NCTE recognized Teacher Education programme such as TTC/D.Ed or any other course through face to face mode.
3) Passed any Bachelors Degree i.e. BA/B.Com/B.Sc or any other Graduate course securing atleast 50% aggregate marks. However, for candidates belonging to the reserved category i.e. SC/ST/BC and other reserved categories who have secured 40% marks in the qualifying examinations are eligible.
Intake
As per the permission of NCTE, New Delhi the intake for the B.Ed (ODL) programme is 500 seats. These 500 seats will be allocated for 10 study centres located in OU jurisdiction, depending upon the number of admissions in each Study Centre. Each Study Centre is given 50 students in a given session.
According to the Osmania University Act the Territorial Jurisdiction of Osmania University is the entire Telangana State.
Duration of the Programme
The duration of the B.Ed (ODL) programme shall be of 2 years. However, students shall be permitted to complete the programme within a maximum period of 5 years. The commencement and completion of the programme shall be so regulated that 2 long spells of vacation (Summer / Winter) are available to the learners guided / supervise instruction and face to face contact sessions.
Admission Procedure
Admissions shall be made on the basis of the service seniority to the extent of sanctioned intake of 500 seats and the Reservation policy of the Govt. of Telangana will be followed. The allotment of the seats for the different categories of students will be made as per the guidelines given by the School Education Department, Govt. of Telangana through G.O.Ms. No.13 dt. 27.05.2017.
The application form will be made available for download on the official website of the university www.osmania.ac.in or ouadmissions.com. An ICAR sheet along with the application form will be available for download on the website along with the application form.
- The candidates should carefully provide all the important information asked into the application form.
- Important information includes the personal and educational details of the candidates.
- The candidates must also affix their photograph and put their signature into the form at the specified places.
- After providing all the details into the form, the candidates must submit it to the university address along with the DD of prescribed application fee.
- A copy of the application form must also be retained by the candidates in case of future reference.
The hard copy of application form and the demand draft must be sent via post or in person to the given address so as to reach before the last date of application submission.

Application fee:
The application fee for Osmania University B.Ed Admission 2022 will be Rs. 500/-.
The fee payment can be done via demand draft drawn on any nationalized bank in favor of the Director, Directorate of Admissions, Osmania University payable at Hyderabad.

- The admit card to appear for the exam will be released a few weeks before the commencement of the test.
- The important details related to the exam such as center and time will be mentioned on the admit card.
- The candidates must carry the admit card to the exam center or else they will not be allowed to appear for the exam.
- The candidates should preserve their admit card till the complete process of admission is over.
Results & Counseling
- The result of the entrance exam will be announced in online mode and the candidates can check it by visiting the official website.
- The candidates who are declared as qualified will be offered admissions into the distance B.Ed course offered by the university.
- Merit list of the candidates will be prepared on the basis of their marks in the entrance test and they will be invited for counseling.
- The eligibility and documents of the candidates will be verified and the candidates will be offered final admissions after the successful verification.
Certificates to be submitted at the time of Admission:
Candidates called for admission myst present in person and submit all the original certificates listed below, along with two sets of xerox copies.
1. B.Ed (Distance Mode) Entrance Hall Ticket.
2. B.Ed (Distance Mode) Entrance Entrance Card.
3. Degree certificate (or provisional certificate if degree certificate is not yet issued as per rules)of qualifying examination.
4. Memorandum of marks (part-1 and part-2)of the qualifying degree examination.
5. Two years experience certificate.
6. Proof of Local/ Nonlocal candidats, according to rules in force. Those who have studies intermediate and degree courses as regular students need submit only the bonafide certificates from colleges. In case , there is a break in the four consecutive years preceding the qualifying examination, the candidates must submit bonafide certificate of 9th and 10th class. Non-local students should submit
i) A Residence certificate for 10 years of either of the parents from M.R.O. or
ii) Employee certificate from the employer.
7. Community, Nativity and date of birth certificate for S.C/S.T/B.C Candidates
8. Required course fee plus the counsellijg fee.
9. Copies of certificates of PH/NCC/CAP/Sports categories(if Applicable)
Reservation
Reservation policy of the Govt. of Telangana will be followed to determine the local or non-local status as well as social status of the candidates.
Fee Details
Rs.20,000/- per annum [(B.Ed. ODL) first year – Rs.20,000/- and B.Ed (ODL) second year Rs.20,000/-]. The candidates have to pay the course fee through online.
Examination pattern
A 2 tier evaluation shall be used by the institution for the continuous and comprehensive evaluation. The weightage for internal and year end examination will be in the ratio of 30 : 70 (Internals : 30 % and year end examination = 70 %.
